Shop for local delicacies and unique trinkets, visit Brunei&#8217;s various cultural galleries and museums, and be amazed by two of Brunei&#8217;s magnificent mosques: the majestic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque and the grand golden-domed Jame&#8217; Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=&#8221;holiday_tour&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"hotel_icon\">The Empire Hotel and Country Club.<\/li>\n<li class=\"dress_icon\">Dress appropriately, wearing non-revealing clothing and\/or shorts that are below the knees<\/li>\n<li class=\"sun_icon\">Bring sunscreen lotion, a hat and\/or wear long sleeves for the boat ride.<\/li>\n<li class=\"closed_icon\">Mosques are closed for inside visit on Thursday, Friday, some religious public holidays and at certain times nearer to the prayer time. In the case of the inside visit is not available, it will be photo stop outside only.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=&#8221;sub_holiday_tour&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"note_icon\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The itinerary is only a reference. Tour guides reserves the right to change itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions. For Mosque visits, visitors are requested to <u>dress appropriately, wearing non-revealing clothing and\/or shorts that are below the knees<\/u>. There will be robes given upon entering the mosque. You will also be required to remove your shoes. For Royal Regalia Museum, it is recommended for visitors to wear socks as shoes will need to be removed.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Itinerary&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_tta_tabs][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Day 1&#8243; tab_id=&#8221;Day-1&#8243;][vc_column_text]Arrival at Brunei International Airport and transfer to hotel.<\/p>\n<p>In the evening, pick up for local dinner at a local restaurant.\u00a0 Visit to Gadong Night Market where you can experience the \u201clocal\u201d food scene and taste all the local food or snacks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Day 2&#8243; tab_id=&#8221;Day-2&#8243;][vc_column_text]In the morning, pick up from the hotel\u2019s lobby for full day city tour with lunch served at a local restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Visit the Malay Technology Museum which has galleries on the Malays, ethnic tribes and their lifestyles.\u00a0 Have a photo stop at the tomb of Sultan Bolkiah who was the fifth ruler of Islamic Brunei and his reign is known as the nation&#8217;s golden age. Visit to Brunei Arts and Handicraft Centre where local arts &amp; handicrafts such as weaving, silverware, krises, basketry, songkok, and others are being displayed and for sales.<\/p>\n<p>Proceed to a jetty for a boat ride at the Water Village to visit Kampong Ayer Cultural &amp; Tourism Gallery. The gallery is to provide visitors and locals alike a glimpse of Kampong Ayer\u2019s celebrated past and revive the cottage industries from days of old, integrating them into our modern economy. Kampong Ayer is a unique treasure belonging to the Bruneians and the historical reminders over the centuries are exhibited in 5 mini-galleries within this building. Then take a walk along the plank walk at the village to visit one of the local houses where they will be served with light local refreshment. A lot of photo opportunity along the way.<\/p>\n<p>Guests will also have an opportunity for photo takings at the mini wedding stage in the house. Stop at the spectacular Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque.<\/p>\n<p>Visit to Royal Regalia Museum which is home to a collection of royal regalia, royal chariot, gold and silver ceremonial armoury. There is a short photo stop of the magnificent Istana Nurul Iman, the largest residential palace in the world from Damuan Park. Visit to Jabatan Mufti Exhibition Hall where you can see the collection of more than 300 hand written Al Quran (the holy book of Islam) where some of them already more than 100 years old. Walking stick and the prayer beads can also be seen in this gallery. Lastly a visit to Jame\u2019 Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque. This is one of the most magnificent mosques in Asia with 29 golden domes.
